Self Driving Route from Kunming to Chuxiong

Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture is located in the central part of Yunnan Province, bordering Kunming City in the east, Pu'er City and Yuxi City in the south, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in the west, Panzhihua City in Sichuan Province in the north, and connecting to Sichuan  Province. First station:Wuding

Wuding has 64 kilometers away from Kunming city, about one hour drive from Kunming. In Wuding, there is the Shizi Mountain, known as the "first mountain in the southwest China", and the Great Rift Valley called the "earth scar".

The world's largest dinosaur fossils and Lama ancient ape fossils were discovered here. Lufeng is known as the "Hometown of Dinosaurs", "Fossil Warehouse", "The Birthplace of Asian Humans" by academic circles.

 

The Heijing Ancient Town, located 65 kilometers northwest of Lufeng County by the Longchuan River, is famous for producing salt during the Han and Tang Dynasties. Yunnan does not produce much salt. Heijing is one of only nine salt wells in Dali Kingdom period.
