Changhu Lake is a Karst lake, generated by geological faulting. There are four islets lying in the middle of the lake, and many scenes in the movie Ashima were taken around the lake. During the period of the Torch Festival, the Sani ethnic members gather nearby the lake, singing and dancing, making people very impressed. Today, the lake has become a camping resort, especially for locals of Kunming.
