Jingxing Bird and Flower Market

Dongsi Temple and Xisi Temple Pedestrian Street
Dongsi Temple and Xisi Temple lie on the east and west side of the pedestrian street respectively and the street was built by the stone pavements. There stand 26 stone street lamps imitating the style in 1847. Jinri Building is in the middle part of the street. On the street are some bronze sculptures including Horse Caravan, Dageng (ancient way of night watch patrol), Repairing Bowls, Eggs Sold by Stringing on Rice Straw, and Playing Chess.

Yongdao Street
Yongdao St. is as long as 100 meters starting from Guanghua St. in the north and ending at Jingxing St. It is named Yongdao because Yunnan-Guizhou Governor-general Office used it as the corridor, Yongdao in Chinese. On the street, there are historical places such as the old house of Nie’er and Yunnan-Guizhou Governor-general Office.

Wenming Street
Wenming St. is one of the remaining old neighborhoods, which is also one of the most important signs of the historical and cultural city – Kunming. Wenming St. derives from Dali Kingdom period. It is almost 900 year old after the construction of Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China and New China.

Confucius Temple
The current existing Confucius Temple was established in 1690 and is more than 300 years old. It was bombed during the Sino-Japanese War so that the inscription, couplets and plaques had been destroyed. However the left buildings are still attractive.
