There have been 12 civilian airports in Yunnan. Besides Kunming Changshui International Airport, the other 11 ones are:

 

Lijiang Airport
Opened in 1995; direct flights to Kunming, Tengchong, Jinghong, Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Nanjing, Changsha, and Xi’an etc; international flights to Thailand, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Dali Airport
Opened in 1995, flights to Beijing, Kunming, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Jinghong, Tengchong, and most flights go via Kunming.

Jinghong Airport
The airport is the second largest aviation port following Kunming. Opened in 1990, the airport has air links to Dali, Lijiang, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Tianjing, Chengdu, and Chongqing etc. In 1996, direct flight to Bangkok was launched.

Baoshan Airport
One of the earliest airports first established in 1929, it was closed for reconstruction and enlargement. In June 1994, the airport was opened and there are direct flights to Kunming to Guangzhou.

Opened in April 1999; flights to Kunming, Chengdu, Lhasa, Guangzhou, Jinghong, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Guiyang etc.

Zhaotong Airport
Flights to Chongqing where passengers transfer to other destinations of China, and there are also direct flights from Kunming.
