The zoo is at the Yuantong Mt and was established in 1953. It is where 200 kinds of animals including those native to Yunnan and some from abroad. As one of the top ten zoos in China, Kunming Zoo is the best place to watch animals and admire Sakura flowers which have enjoyed a wide fame in China.
