Climate

Kunming is the Capital of Yunnan Province in Southwest China and is located in the middle of the Yunnan–Guizhou Plateau at an altitude of 1,900 metres above sea level and has a mild subtropical highland climate ideal for growing a variety of plants and flowers. Blossoms and lush vegetation abound year round, and for this reason it has come to be known as China's “City of Eternal Spring”.

The mean temperature in Kunming City is around 15C (59F) with a high of 22C (71.6F) and a low of 6C (42.8F). The rainy season, with an annual precipitation of around 1,000, is between the months of May to October, and the dry season between November and April. Kunming is probably the most livable City in China because of its superb air quality, ample sunshine and wholesome bio environment.
